A win at last!!! Ross County 1 - St.Johnstone 2

And not before time… After some woeful results at the start of the season Saints cashed in a win to Dingwall’s Ross County.
Trinidad and tobago striker Collin Samuel knocked in two goals either side of half-time to obtain a vital three points for St.Johnstone.
A Gavin Swankie free kick enabled Samuel to head in the first goal in the 29th minute. He extended the lead early in the second half when he outran the Dingwall team’s defence to fire in from close range.
There was a scare midway through the second half however. Richard Brittain’s 70th minute goal saw the deficit reduced and the heart rates of Saints fans increased but St.Johnstone held on to take all three points.
Fans vent at plans to demolish McDiarmid Park stand

Saints fans reacted angrily after Geoff Brown (Chairmain) announced plans to demolish one of the stands at McDiarmid park.The reson given was to solve traffic jams around the ground.
The proposal is to demolish the North stand and in it’s place, a £10 million layout with link up road. Perth & Kinross council are currently considering the proposals.
The chairmain was quoted: “St Johnstone has always been a community club and this would help Perth. I’d envisage financial benefits to the club for many years to come.” He added “Even without the North Stand we’d still be able to accommodate around 8500 fans and that’s more than the stadiums in Inverness and Falkirk.”
